Need a good reference text to help your understanding of the ABIH industrial hygiene formulas? Check out * Industrial-Occupational Hygiene Calculations: A Professional Reference Second Edition. *The most commonly used formulas are presented with explanations of each of the variables and an example of the formula in use, with the benefit of using units of measurement and shorthand for variables that are consistent with common industry practice. On the plus side, if you pick up the spiral-bound copy of the book on Amazon, you save a ton compared to the hardcover. The spiral-bound version is much more convenient to work with anyways. Have you found benefit to the book or found something better? Let us know in the comments below.

I agree and have purchased this reference book. Got it used through Amazon.

I did the same thing. Definitely tricky to find a cheap, used copy of the book. Great resource to have on hand though.

Two other good reference books are as follows:

Quantitative Industrial Hygiene: A Formula Workbook (1991) ACGIH Jack Caravanos, DrPH, CIH, CSP of Hunter College of the City University of New York – School of Health Sciences. ISBN 0-936712-95-3

Safety in Numbers: Formulas, Examples, and References for Occupational Safety Professionals (2005) Datachem Software of Westboro, MA Scott A. Bergeron. ISBN 0-9763461-0-9
